I have used computers for a long time (for the last few years professionally).
As I am an Adobe Certified Instructor, I use my laptop on everyday basis, playing around with software (or training it 😉 ). When I don’t use my laptop, I just used to shut it down so it doesn’t run. That was in the past.
Nowadays, I don’t shut it down but instead put it to sleep. I have actually learned this from Terry White – he said that he doesn’t turn his laptops down during the day but just puts it to sleep. The way I have set up my laptop is that when I close the lid, it goes to sleep. And when I open the lid, it starts immediately so I don’t need to wait for operating system to start! Great feature, I love it! 🙂
Have a great day!
