Ps Smart Object from Bridge

smartObjects_thumbAdobe Bridge is one of these ‘little known’ Adobe applications. Bridge is great. There are so many things you can do with Bridge. And yet, most people on my Photoshop courses have never used Bridge. Or, some of them, have never heard of Bridge.

I could spend pages and pages talking about Bridge, but I what I want to share with you today is how to use Bridge and Photoshop with Smart Objects.

Actually, what I want to show you, is how to place images as Smart Objects in Adobe Photoshop using Adobe Bridge.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Open Adobe Bridge.
  2. Find the image you want to place as Smart Object in Photoshop and select it.
  3. With image selected, choose File > Place > In Photoshop:

 smartObjects_Br

The image opens in Photoshop as a Smart Object.

And, voila!  😉
