Are you buying a tablet? Maybe you have one already? Did you get an iPad? Did you overpay? I’m sure you did…
iPad is a great tablet, I’m not denying that. But, it’s heavily overpriced, you pay for the logo, for the brand. If you’re ok with that, no problem. I understand.
But, if you want a tablet that will have all that iPad has (and more) then keep reading…
There are many reasons why I wouldn’t buy an iPad. Some of them that may be important to you (and are important to me) are many things that are missing from an iPad, i.e.:
– No USB
– No Memory Card slot to expand memory
– No HDMI output to connect it directly to your TV or projector
Why am I bothering you with all these components? Well, what if you want to connect a keyboard to the tablet? What if you want to connect it to your HD TV? What if you want to expand memory? 32GB or even 64GB you get with the iPad is not that much of you think about it…
That’s where Acer Iconia A500 comes in. A beautiful, well made tablet the same size roughly (ca.10″), but more widescreen (iPad is more sqaure-ish – I don’t like that) and it comes with all that!
Here’s what you get with Acer Iconia A500:
Processor: nVidia Tegra 250 Dual cortex A9
Speed: 1GHz
Bluetooth: 2.1 + EDR
OS: Android v3.0 Honeycomb
Memory: 1GB DDR2 RAM (1x1GB)
Screen: 10.1″ WXGA LED
Wide screen: yes
Resolution: 1280 x 800 (higher than iPad 1 & 2)
Hard Drive: 32GB or 64GB
Lan: 802.11b/g WiFi
Cardreader: micro SD up to 32GB
Ports: 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x Micro USB 2.0, HDMI
Webcam: Front 2.0 MP & Back 5.0 MP with flash
And if you look online and you don’t mind buying it second hand, you can find really good deals on it. For example, I’ve found Iconia A500 on Amazon for £225! Here’s the link:
