In a sudden surprising announcement, Micron – the parent company of Lexar – said that they’re discontinuing the Lexar memory cards.
As Micron said:
“The decision was made as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to focus on its increasing opportunities in higher value markets and channels.”
It looks like all removable storage of Lexar is being discontinued, including memory card readers and usb flash drives.
It’s a very sudden and unusual announcement especially since quite recently Lexar announced the highest-capacity CF card – 512GB card.
