Google are updating their mobile operating system – Android – and finally they’re taking it to version 5 named Android L, apparently.
Probably one of the biggest new features, to photographers at least (if we can talk about photographers using mobile devices for photography…), is the addition of Raw shooting to Android. Android L will allow for raw shooting in DNG format.
Some performance updates are coming as well, to allow for faster shooting. And, some of the new controls like:
- Exposure time
- ISO sensitivity
- JPEG metadata
- AE/AWB lock
- Exposure compensation
